Well as you have seen on the main page, at some point Pam's Ghia looked very nice. Great style and paint. A car we would be proud to own!
The following pictures show her as she was in Southern California. Trust me when I say the fabulous Californian sun made her look better in the pictures than perhaps she really was.
Due to the fact that she would be shipped via a roll on roll off vessel, we arranged with the seller Al, and Rich that they would re-fit the chrome trims, bumpers and any other small items that Al may have for the car. Unless you have a car shipped in a container it must have no spares or any other items in it when shipped.

As you can see the paint work looks slightly dull but the body looks fairly straight. You can see a large dent in the rear fender.

Here you can see the dent in all its glory. I did enquire about getting it removed whilst in the States but time was against us. You can also see where the hot sun has caused the paint to fade and also that the clear coat is peeling quite badly.

Passenger side not looking too bad.

The engine bay, not a great picture but it looked OK to me....but then you have to ask what I know about VW's! Not a lot but I'm quickly learning!

Apparently the engine is actually running in this picture! We were sent a couple of small videos of Al driving forwards and backwards.

The interior looking relatively clean. After market seats and mats! The dash looked good but I did notice the original radio aperture had been enlarged to allow for a modern unit to be fitted. Hopefully we will remove this and fit a period correct one, same for the seats all being well.

Rear bench looking nice and tidy.

The underside covered in some kind of under seal. Looks good doesn't it?

Under the hood, lots of wires, I love spaghetti!
So, on the basis of seeing these pictures and talking with both Al and Rich. We purchased the car.
